Brazil's sports minister says he's concerned about the pace of stadium construction for the 2014 World Cup.

Aldo Rebelo says work needs to pick up at five of the six stadiums under construction because they "are facing a tight deadline." They need to be ready by December.

The minister says only the Sao Paulo stadium — hosting the opening match in June — is expected to be completed on time.

Officials of the soccer world governing body have made it clear that they want all 12 stadiums ready by December. FIFA officials have said they won't tolerate similar stadium delays similar to those ahead of the Confederations Cup.
