Braves pound Diamondbacks

Freddie Freeman went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI and Brian McCann added a two-run homer, as the Braves pounded the Diamondbacks, 9-1, in the second meeting of a four-game set.

Michael Bourn chipped in with two hits, a steal, a run scored and an RBI for the Braves, who have won four straight and nine of 10, including a 10-2 blowout in the opener of this series.

Brandon Beachy (2-1) continued his strong start to the season, allowing just four hits and one walk in 7 1/3 scoreless frames to earn the win.

Arizona's Trevor Cahill (1-1) was tagged for seven runs -- four earned -- on seven hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings. The Diamondbacks have dropped four in a row, the last three without sluggers Chris Young (shoulder) and Justin Upton (thumb).
