Chipper Jones was named to the National League All-Star team on Tuesday, replacing injured Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp.

Jones was one of the players named for the National League final vote and is hitting .291 with six homers and 29 RBI this season.

The 40-year-old third baseman, who has spent his entire 18-year career with Atlanta, announced in March that he will call it a career at the end of the year.

This will be Jones' eighth All-Star appearance.

Kemp is on the disabled list with a hamstring injury but still plans to participate in the home run derby.
