MILWAUKEE (AP) — Brooks Conrad homered, doubled and drove in four runs while subbing for injured Chipper Jones, and the Atlanta Braves roughed up Milwaukee's bullpen once again to beat the Brewers 9-2 Wednesday for a three-game sweep.
With Jones out of the starting lineup because of a sore groin, Conrad hit a two-run homer in the eighth and added a two-run double off Trevor Hoffman in the ninth. Jones pinch-hit in the ninth and had an RBI double off Hoffman.
It was 2-all in the seventh when the Braves scored twice off reliever Manny Parra.
Another late-game outburst by the Braves squandered a solid start by Yovani Gallardo and continued the Brewers' woes at home. They are 4-11 at Miller Park this season.

Jason Heyward hit a hard shot off first baseman Prince Fielder's glove for a go-ahead double in the seventh inning.

Eric Hinske and Troy Glaus continued to bother the Brewers. Hinske delivered yet another RBI double and Glaus, who homered in each of the first two games, adding an RBI single.
Milwaukee got a pair of runs to tie the game at 2 in the sixth, but Atlanta immediately reclaimed the lead. Pinch-hitter Matt Diaz doubled off Parra (0-2) and moved up on a sacrifice.
After a groundout by Martin Prado, Heyward hit a ball that Fielder couldn't handle. Brian McCann then had an RBI single to give Atlanta a 4-2 lead.
The Braves didn't stop there, as Conrad homered off of Carlos Villanueva in the eighth. Atlanta added three runs in the ninth.
Derek Lowe (5-3) was untouchable early on, holding the Brewers hitless through the first four innings before allowing a leadoff single to Casey McGehee in the fifth.
Gallardo pitched a strong six innings, giving up two runs and six hits despite being hit hard in the left leg by a batted ball in the fourth inning.
A shot off the bat of Heyward smacked into Gallardo's leg just above his ankle. After being briefly examined by the Brewers' medical staff, he threw a few warmup pitches and stayed in the game.
Trailing 2-0, Milwaukee finally got to Lowe and tied the game in the sixth — but squandered a chance to take the lead.
Rickie Weeks opened with a single and Jody Gerut followed with an infield hit off the glove of Glaus at first base. Jim Edmonds singled up the middle, scoring Weeks and cutting the lead to 2-1. Fielder hit a deep fly ball to right field that hit just foul off the wall, then Lowe got him to fly out.
Gerut was caught trying to steal third — meaning McGehee's subsequent RBI double only tied the game. Gregg Zaun popped out to end the inning.
NOTES: Milwaukee OF Ryan Braun (elbow) sat out. He is expected back in the lineup after off days Thursday. ... Braves manager Bobby Cox said shortstop Yunel Escobar is preparing to return from a leg injury and will likely play for Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday before returning Saturday. ... Fielder was charged with an error in the eighth.
