Brandon Peoples ran in the game-winning touchdown with 44 seconds left to help Wagner beat Bryant 23-20 on Saturday to claim a share of the Northeast Conference title with Sacred Heart.

Bryant started its last possession on its 35 and put together a 7-play, 27-yard drive, but Dalton Easton's Hail Mary pass was batted down in the end zone.

Brandon Peoples had five rushes for 26 yards and two scores for Wagner (7-4, 5-1). He put Wagner on the board with a short TD run in the first quarter. Wagner outgained Bryant 211-57 on the ground.

Easton threw for 321 yards and four touchdowns for Bryant (8-3, 4-2), but was hurt by four interceptions.

Easton connected with Keenan Thompson for a 61-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Then back-to-back TD throws, 17 yards to John Lavin and 14 to Taylor Barthelette, in the fourth quarter gave Bryant a 20-16 lead with 7:17 left.
