Alex Pietrangelo was credited with the game- 4 win over the lowly Blue Jackets at Scottrade Center.

Pietrangelo, Alexander Steen and Jason Arnott all scored in the third period for St. Louis, which has earned points in six straight games and improved to 13-2-4 under Ken Hitchcock.

T.J. Oshie added a goal and an assist for St. Louis, which scored a season- high in goals to back Jaroslav Halak's 28-save effort.

Derick Brassard scored for Columbus to cut the deficit to 5-4 with 4:09 remaining, but Patrik Berglund netted an empty-netter in the final minute to seal the outcome.

Steve Mason gave up five goals on 33 shots to take the loss, the Blue Jackets' fifth in six games.
