Another Tommy John surgery has been scheduled for Blue Jays starter Kyle Drabek, the club said on its website Monday.

Drabek went on the 15-day disabled last week with an ulnar collateral ligament tear in his right elbow, and a visit to noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews on Monday confirmed he will need to go under the knife.

Andrews will perform the procedure on Tuesday in Pensacola, Florida.

The 24-year-old previously underwent Tommy John surgery in 2007.

Drabek, the 18th overall pick in the 2006 draft, was the prize acquisition for Toronto when it traded Roy Halladay to the Phillies in December 2009. He made his major-league debut the next year, but pitched to a 6.06 earned-run average last season.

He suffered the injury in his 13th start and finishes the season with a 4-7 record and a 4.67 ERA.
