St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Columbus Blue Jackets continued their winning ways on the road.

Boone Jenner scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period and the Blue Jackets went on to beat the St. Louis Blues 4-2 on Saturday night.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 29 saves in Columbus' eighth consecutive victory away from home, extending a franchise record. The Blue Jackets, who have won six straight overall, set a club mark for the most road wins in a season with 22.

"We weren't perfect but the compete is there and that's what you want. It leads to the resiliency and finding ways to win hockey games," Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards said.

Brian Elliott gave up three goals on 16 shots for the Blues, who returned to Scottrade Center following a 3-1-2 road trip.

"We can't be offense, offense, offense. You've got to keep it out of your net, too. Starting with me, we've got to be better," Elliott said.

St. Louis received mixed news on the injury front Saturday. Defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk was back in the lineup after an abdominal injury forced him to miss 25 games, but forward Alexander Steen left in the first period with a lower-body injury and didn't return.

The Blue Jackets opened the scoring as William Karlsson took a cross-ice pass from Scott Hartnell on the rush and beat Elliott with a wrist shot from the right circle at 7:06 of the first period.

St. Louis tied it 52 seconds into the second period. A turnover by Nick Foligno led to Patrik Berglund cashing in on a 2-on-0 chance with Jaden Schwartz

Columbus took a 2-1 lead on Jack Johnson's power-play goal. Johnson fired a slap shot from just inside the blue line through traffic at 11:39 of the second.

The Blues answered three minutes later on a man advantage as Vladimir Tarasenko roofed the puck from the faceoff dot.

Jenner put the Blue Jackets back on top 21 seconds before the second intermission. Ryan Johansen faked a shot and dished to Jenner, who tapped the puck into an open net from the doorstep.

Cam Atkinson scored an empty-net goal to seal the win with 1:18 left in the third period.
