Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller is aware of what the critics wrote about him last year.

The worst was when articles referred to him as a "one-year wonder," without taking into account that Spiller spent much of last season hampered by a sprained ankle.

Saying he's healthy, Spiller entered training camp ready to prove his doubters wrong.

In fact, Spiller likes to say he's brought a figurative axe to grind or, as he put it: "to chip away some wood."

Spiller's defiance is a reflection of the motivation he has in showing he's ready to regain his 2012 Pro Bowl form.

That's when the 2010 first-round draft pick out of Clemson became only the NFL's seventh player to average 6-plus yards per carry.
