Don't expect Bret Bielema to take a look around and enjoy a big-picture moment when he takes the field for the first time as Arkansas' coach.

The Razorbacks, following a disastrous 4-8 season a year ago, open on Saturday against Sun Belt Conference co-favorite Louisiana-Lafayette. They'll do so under Bielema, the former Wisconsin coach who was hired last December to provide stability for a program in turmoil in the wake of the Bobby Petrino scandal.

Bielema says he doesn't expect to focus on the fact that Saturday will mark the first time he's served as a head coach at anywhere but with the Badgers.

He's more intent on improving his career record in season-opening games to 8-0.
