The Cincinnati Bengals signed former two- time Pro Bowl cornerback Terence Newman to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

Newman was cut by the Cowboys earlier this offseason in a salary cap move.

Taken fifth overall in the 2003 NFL Draft, the 33-year-old Newman had four interceptions, eight passes defended and 53 tackles in 14 games last season.

Over the course of his nine-year career, all with the Cowboys, Newman has registered 542 tackles, 32 interceptions and two sacks.
