Benfica kept pace with FC Porto at the 0 win at the Estadio dos Barreiros.

Oscar Cardozo's late goal in the 85th minute gave Benfica the lead, as the visitors capitalized on a man-advantage after Maritimo midfielder Olberdam was sent off two minutes into the second half.

The result allows Benfica to remain level on 30 points with Porto, which overturned a one-goal deficit to claim a 2-1 win over Beira Mar on Saturday.

Sporting Lisbon rebounded from its loss to Benfica in its last outing with a goal from Oguchi Onyewu in a 1-0 defeat of Nacional on Saturday. The American defender struck in the 22nd minute to claim all three points for the home side.

Adrien Silva capped the weekend with a goal in each half to lead Academica to a 2-0 win over Olhanense. Silva scored from the penalty spot late in the first half before Edson Sitoe was sent off just before the break for Olhanense, while Silva tallied a second goal in the 51st minute.
