Benfica joined FC Porto at the summit of the Portuguese Liga with a 2-1 win over Pacos Ferreira on Friday.

Benfica entered the weekend two points adrift of the defending champions. But the win, combined with Porto's 2-2 draw against Rio Ave on Saturday, allows Benfica to move level on 11 points, one point clear of third-place Braga.

Cicero's goal in the 16th minute put Pacos ahead in Friday's match, but Lima responded less than two minutes later to level the contest before he netted the winning goal 20 minutes from time.

Braga remained within a point as the club also secured a win on Friday, topping Guimaraes, 2-0.

Eder broke a scoreless deadlock with his goal in the 55th minute for Braga, while Hugo Viana sealed the win by netting another goal four minutes from time.

Porto took a 1-0 lead into the final 15 minutes at Rio Ave thanks to a goal from Miguel Lopes in the first half.

However, Tarantini scored twice for the home side in the span of seven minutes before Jackson Martinez rescued a point for Porto with a 90th-minute goal.

Sporting Lisbon needed two goals in the last 15 minutes to defeat 10-man Estoril in Saturday's other contest as Ricky van Wolfswinkel tallied the equalizer six minutes from the end.

On Sunday, Gil Vicente won for the first time this season as Cunha scored two goals in a 4-3 win over Moreirense, Nacional snatched a 2-1 triumph at Olhanense behind a goal from Mario Rondon in the 90th minute, Beira Mar and Setubal shared the points in a 1-1 draw and Academica topped Maritimo, 2-0.
