Chicago Bears coach Marc Trestman says quarterback Jay Cutler's injured left ankle responded well after he returned to practice this week.

Cutler was a limited participant for the second straight day on Friday as he tries to work his way back from a high left ankle sprain.

Trestman says he "did not seem to be any more inhibited today than he was" on Thursday, when he practiced for the first time since he injured the ankle against Detroit on Nov. 10.

Cutler will miss his fourth straight game when the Bears host Dallas on Monday night.
