Andre Ayew made up for a missed penalty 0 over promoted Ajaccio on Saturday at the Stade Velodrome.

Ajaccio's Mexican goalie Guillermo Ochoa saved Ayew's penalty in the 21st, but Ayew scored in the 30th and 49th minutes, as Marseille extended its undefeated run to five games.

Marseille had just one won through 10 matches this season, but it has started to regain form with two wins and three draws in its last five domestic games.

Ayew notched his first goal at the half-hour mark when Jordan Ayew headed the ball down and Andre converted to the bottom-left corner. Mathieu Valbuena set up the second goal, which Andrew Ayew directed into the lower left.

It was a big win for Marseille, which lost to Arsenal in the Champions League this week on a stoppage-time goal, and gave the club 12 points from 11 games.

Ajaccio fell to the bottom of the table on just seven points.

Bordeaux 1, Brest 1

Bordeaux, France - Eden Ben Vasat scored in the 63rd minute as winless Brest earned a 1-1 tie against Bordeaux at the Stade Chaban-Delmas for its ninth tie in just 11 matches in Ligue 1.

Brest remained ahead of struggling Bordeaux, which has just one win and is now winless in seven matches. Yoan Gouffran scored early in the second half for Bordeaux's lone goal.

Sochaux 1, Evian 1

Montbeliard, France - Aldo Angoula scored two minutes into stoppage time and promoted Evian earned its sixth draw of the season, 1-1 against Sochaux at the Stade Auguste Bonal on Saturday in France's Ligue 1.

Edouard Butin's third goal of the season gave Sochaux the edge five minutes after halftime, but the hosts settled for a point and have just one win in their last five games.

Lorient 0, Toulouse 0

Lorient, France - Toulouse tied Lorient 0-0 on Saturday at Stade du Moustoir to move within four points of idle leader PSG in France's Ligue 1.

Toulouse has five wins and four draws through 11 matches, and its 19 points is good enough for fifth in the standings. Lorient is six points off the pace in seventh place with 17 points.

Montpellier 3, Caen 1

Caen, France - Mapou Yangambiwa, John Utaka and Younes Belhanda scored to lead Montpellier to a 3-1 win over Caen on Saturday at the Stade Michel d'Ornano in France's Ligue 1.

Montpellier won for the third time in its last five, while Caen had its five- game unbeaten streak snapped. Benjamin Nivet scored Caen's lone goal.

Nancy 1, Nice 0

Nancy, France - Daniel Niculae scored early in the first half as Nancy edged Nice, 1-0, on Saturday at the Stade Marcel Picot for its first victory of the season in France's Ligue 1.

Nancy was winless through 10 matches, but snapped Nice's three-match unbeaten run to snap its season-long slide.

St Etienne 1, Valenciennes 0

Saint Etienne, France - Laurent Batlles scored early in the second half as the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard and St. Etienne extended its undefeated streak to five games with a 1-0 win over Valenciennes in France's Ligue 1 on Saturday.

Valenciennes lost for the second time in its last three matches.
