All last season, Tony Gonzalez said he was 95 percent sure he'd retire.

It looks like a possible $7 million contract and a reduced training camp schedule has changed his mind.

According to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, Gonzalez is informing people that he will be back for one more season with the Atlanta Falcons and he would not walk away from the game.

"I was done, I thought I had my mind made up," Gonzalez told Glazer. "This whole year I knew it would be my last but the way our final game ended and talking to the guys in the locker room, in the end it was too difficult of a way for me to step away from the game."

The tight end was in tears at the end of last season as his team lost in the NFC championship to the San Francisco 49ers.

The week before, Gonzalez was part of his first playoff victory in his 17-year career.

At 37 years old, Gonzalez was intent last year on focusing on his family. But the Hall of Famer said he is hoping to achieve the one thing that has eluded him.

"I am coming back for one reason and one reason only," he told Fox Sports. "The chance to win a Super Bowl."
