Arizona came up a few seconds short of reaching the Final Four.

As the Wildcats head into the offseason, it's hard to not wonder what might have happened if forward Brandon Ashley had not gotten hurt.

Arizona (33-5) was arguably the nation's best team with Ashley in the lineup, setting a school record with 16 straight wins while sitting atop The Associated Press poll for two months.

When Ashley went out with a foot injury on Feb. 1, it changed the way the Wildcats had to play, forcing players into new roles.

Arizona managed it well, winning 33 games, but came up just short in the Elite Eight, losing 64-63 after Nick Johnson was called for a last-second offensive foul and was unable to hit a potential game-winning shot.
