Alabama reinstates leading scorer Green

Alabama has reinstated leading scorer and rebounder JaMychal Green, who was suspended the last three games for violating team rules.

The forward was cleared to return to practice, according to a press release issued Monday.

Tony Mitchell, who was the team's second-leading scorer and rebounder, will remain suspended for the rest of the season.

The Crimson Tide are 1-2 since Green was suspended February 11 for violating team rules. Guards Trevor Releford and Andrew Steele were also suspended at the same time, but both returned after a one-game absence.

Alabama had suspended Mitchell earlier that week.

Green is averaging 14.1 points and 7.2 rebounds in 20 games.

The Crimson Tide (17-9) play at Arkansas on Thursday. They are 6-6 in the SEC.
