White House Considers "re-listing" North Korea on Terrorism List
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A senior White House official told Fox News the idea of re-listing North Korea on the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism is one of the “suggestions” it is considering from Congress on punishing the Communist country to its recent acts of nuclear and ballistic missile provocation.
"As for the Secretary of State's comments yesterday, the fact is that we are considering a range of things,” the senior official said. “That question (on ABC’s “This Week”) was whether the Secretary of State was considering a letter from the Hill on this (re-listing North Korea on the terrorist list). She said we are. We get a lot of good suggestions from the Hill and are considering them all. But focus now is not on what we will do, but on North Korean action, on how it is isolating itself, and how it is galvanizing action - collective action - at the United Nations."
