Watch on Tuesday: President Obama to hold news conference

President Obama will hold a news conference at 12:30pm ET on Tuesday, June 23rd.  Watch it LIVE on Fox News Channel.

Mr. Obama is expected to make an opening statement before taking questions.   White House press secretary Robert Gibbs says while the news conference has been on the books for several weeks, the President will use the occasion to promote his plan for long-term growth, including heath care reform. Mr. Obama will also talk about progress "being made on energy independence." Finally, Gibbs anticipates the President will make comments regarding the ongoing situation in Iran.

This will be his fourth solo press conference, but his first one in non-prime time.

This will also be his first press conference in the Briefing Room. The previous three were held in the East Room of the White House.
