They laughed. They cried. And one of them turned cartwheels. Winning candidates across the country had their own ways Tuesday night of thanking the electorate, but Congressman Ed Perlmutter had an especially colorful way to express his joy.

Finishing off what he called a "grueling" campaign against Republican Ryan Frazier in one of Colorado's swing districts, Democratic Congressman Ed Perlmutter thanked his family, his staff, and volunteers from the stage at a Holiday Inn in Lakewood, Co. And then he treated the crowd to a few gleeful cartwheels in the middle of the room.

Turning cartwheels had been an attention-grabbing campaign habit for the congressman, especially while appearing in parades.
