Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi. It was one of the key words of the day on Twitter.

During a heated House Intelligence Committee hearing, former CIA deputy director Mike Morell denied he had a role in a #Benghazi 'cover-up' over the attack on the U.S. consulate 18 months ago. Morell said there were never political motivations behind changes he made to disputed Benghazi talking points.

"I never allowed politics to influence what I said or did. Never," he said.

It was tough to find much sympathy from folks on the right, who took to Twitter to bash both Morell and President Obama.

What Dems can’t seem to grasp is why Benghazi is still in the news.

It wasn’t just the Benghazi hearing that irked conservatives online. Obama took heat Wednesday night for attending a fundraiser while a shooting -- killing four people at Fort Hood Army base in Texas -- unfolded.

And then there were six. The RNC has whittled its 2016 choices to host the Republican convention down to six cities: Las Vegas, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, and Kansas City. Phoenix and Columbus got the boot.
