* President expressed "how very sorry he was about their loss," Gibbs says of Dover AFB family meeting.
* Gibbs says meeting with families (14 were in the AFB Chapel) was "not about soliciting advice" on future Afghan strategy.

* Obama to host German Chancelor Merkel on Nov. 3. She will also address Congress.
