The Day Ahead: From New York to Pittsburgh
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}President Obama wakes up in New York City on the third and final day of his stop here for the United Nations General Assembly. In the morning, he will chair a UN Security Council Summit on Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament. While this is the first time a US President has chaired a Security Council meeting with other heads of state, it is purely coincidental that Obama has the chair -- the United States happens to hold the rotating one month presidency of the council this month.
In the afternoon, the President and First Lady head to Pittsburgh where they will greet world leaders from the G20 for a day and half long summit to discuss the global economic crisis.
