South Florida Congressional House Round-Up

Of the 25 Congressional Districts in the state of Florida 19 have elected Republican representatives according to the latest projections by Fox News.

The majority of the Hispanic population of the state are located in South Florida where seven of the eleven districts elected Republican Representatives.

In District 22, which spans the Palm Beach County and Broward County area, African-American Republican Candidate Alan West won over Democratic Candidate Ron Klein.

In District 25, the race between Republican David Rivera and Democrat Joe Garcia has ended with GOP Candidate Rivera beating his opponent in the District that spans from West Miami south through Homestead.

District 23 saw Democrat Alcee Hastings beat Republican Bernard Sansaricq.

In District 19, Ted Deutch won over Republican Joe Budd.

In District 16, Tom Rooney won over Democrat Jim Horn.
