Sanders touts congressional effectiveness in new ad

Bernie Sanders will release two new television ads Friday featuring the candidate's legislative record to air in media markets throughout Iowa and New Hampshire.

The first ad, "Rock," demonstrates Sanders' close relationships with local businesses in Vermont, where the candidate won 71 percent of the vote for his reelection to the Senate. Dairy farmer Eric Paris praises Sanders as someone who "cannot be bought out by big money," calling Sanders "a rock."

The second thirty-second spot, called "Effective" touts Sanders' "practical and successful" record in Congress, calling him "one of Congress' most successful brokers" and highlighting how he fought with Sen. John McCain to pass reform in the Department of Veterans Affairs.
