Government data has documented an increasingly icy Antarctic region, but the top three television networks did not mention those facts in its stories of shrinking ice coverage, according to a new short-term study.

Evening news programs on ABC, NBC and CBS reported melting ice in Antarctica 12 times from Nov. 4-11, but did not once acknowledge an October report from NASA that confirmed ice in that region is growing faster than it is melting, the Media Research Center (MRC) discovered.

Other news outlets have documented Antarctic scientists' findings of record levels of sea ice. In the report, MRC states it suspects the reason the TV media repeatedly left out the other side to the story was due to its urging from the Obama administration to agree with its agenda on climate change.
