Rep. Kevin Yoder, R-Kan., said that President Obama has been an obstacle to solving the political impasse over raising the federal government's $14.3 trillion debt ceiling as part of an effort to shift blame for the nation's crumbling economy to his Republican adversaries.

"The president wants to see this go until the deadline because he wants the Republican Party to share some of the blame for the economic crisis in this country," Yoder said on "Power Play w/ Chris Stirewalt."

Yoder also echoed the theme of this morning's Power Play column saying that the surest way to make sure that House Speaker John Boehner's alternative debt ceiling plan passed the House was "to call a press conference today and speak out against it one more time."
