The Democratic Party of New Mexico says their emails are being blocked and "blacklisted" from the Republican-controlled Secretary of State's office and other state agencies.

Democratic Party spokesman Scott Tillman said Wednesday the blocking is preventing state Democrats from obtaining important public voter information for registration and fundraising efforts. He says emails from New Mexico Democratic chairman Deb Haaland and other staffers are being blocked despite complaints.

Democrats provided The Associated Press a recent email from Haaland to Secretary of State Dianna Duran that showed a returned email from the office. It said Haaland's address had been blacklisted.

Secretary of State spokesman Ken Ortiz says it appears the problem is from the Democrats' service provider. He says the office wants to resolve the issue.
