This evening, President Obama will take a break from the perpetual health care dialogue and his other Presidential duties to host powerhouse miniseries producing team Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman at the White House. The President and Mrs. Obama will hold a preview screening of HBO's new mini-series, The Pacific in the White House Movie Theater.

The Hanks-Spielberg-Goetzman project "tells the story of the Pacific front during World War II," as the White House describes it. The trio were the force behind another HBO World War II mini-series, Band of Brothers.

Also attending the screening will be military heavyweights, including members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, National Security Advisor General Jim Jones, members of the VFW and the Women in the Military Service for America Memorial, as well as Members of Congress. HBO President Richard Plepler are also expected to attend.

The Pacific premiers on HBO Sunday at 9p.
