Milford police are calling it an unprecedented move. A foreign official made a visit to an undocumented immigrant accused in a weekend stabbing.

David Guaman is still being held on bail in the Saturday stabbing of a man in Milford.

The Milford Daily News reports that a member of the Ecuadoran consulate met with him at the police station Sunday night.

Officers told the paper they do not know why he was there and have never heard that happening before.

A third brother, Pablo, is charged with letting Nicolas - who did not have a license - drive his truck.
