CNN can't let go of Fiorina's Planned Parenthood remarks

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina was not at all pleased Friday morning after CNN's Chris Cuomo suggested that her anti-abortion rhetoric may have inspired a mass shooting in Colorado Springs, Colo.

"Do you feel any sense of regret about how you characterized what was going on at Planned Parenthood after the attack in Colorado?" Cuomo asked. He was referring to Fiorina's public response to a series of undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood executives discussing compensation for organs salvaged from the remains of aborted children.

Planned Parenthood's go-to defense has been to claim that the Center for Medical Progress' videos have been "selectively edited," and that the videos paint an inaccurate and unfair picture. Several reporters, including Cuomo, have repeated this claim, but many of them have also declined to say whether they have actually watched all of the footage released by CMP.

And with a shooting spree earlier this year outside a Planned Parenthood facility in Colorado which claimed the lives of three people, including a pro-life police officer, the press continues to suggest that pro-life candidates likely inspired the deadly event. Cuomo and others are now suggesting that people like Fiorina bear some responsibility for the attack.
