On the day the White House sent its first report to Congress on the benefits of the president's $787 billion economic stimulus, the New Yorker shot the key players of the president's economic team.

And we shot the shoot.

The photos will accompany an upcoming piece on the team's handling of the biggest economic crisis since the Great Depression.

The photo shoot required several slow walks from the residence toward the north gate of the compound. The photographers wheeled a pretty large dolly before the Obama economic giants as they tried to resolutely  march toward a confident economic future -- or something like that.

Spotted: Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, Office of Management and Budget Chair Peter Orszag, National Economic Council Chair Larry Summers, Council of Economic Advisers Chair Christina Romer and Vice President Biden's Chief Economist Jared Bernstein.

All photos are courtsey of senior White House correspondent Major Garrett.
