Another Problem for the Bill, the President's Old Nemesis

Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL), who defeated then-state senator Barack Obama in a Congressional primary, spoke by phone for ten minutes with the president today.

Rush voted for the November bill. But the Senate's version of the health care measure diminishes Medicaid 340B assistance, which is prescription drugs for the poor.

"I moved from leaning no to very undecided," said Rush after his conversation with the president. Rush says the poor need this help.

"These are people who have no voice. Nobody cares about. That are faceless and nameless," said.

Reporters asked Rush if the president said he could craft a fix to secure Rush's vote.

"He said he'll get back to me," Rush said.
