Elaine Chao

Elaine Chao was the 24th U.S. Secretary of Labor and 18th U.S. Secretary of Transportation and the first Asian American woman to be appointed to a president’s Cabinet. Chao also served as director of the Peace Corps from 1991 to 1992 and as president of the United Way of America from 1993 to 1996.
