Hockey gold medalists speak on patriotism and Team USA in the World Cup
NHL players and Olympic gold medalists Brady and Matthew Tkachuk discuss the pride of representing the USA in sports. They reflect on their Olympic hockey wins and offer advice to the current US soccer team in the World Cup.
The Tkachuk brothers have already shown what they can do on the global stage, but now, Matthew and Brady have the ability to wow the league more often.
After helping Team USA win Olympic gold together earlier this year, Brady was traded to his brother's Florida Panthers, who won the Stanley Cup in the two seasons before the Carolina Hurricanes took home the hardware last season.
When the move was made, hockey fans knew it was a matter of when, not if, the brothers would create magic together.

It did not take long.
In just their seventh game of the season, Brady scored a hat trick on Tuesday night, with each of his goals being assisted by Matthew, who had two other assists on the night. Brady also had an assist, meaning the brothers combined for nine points in Florida's 7-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
All of Brady's goals came within 8:03 of ice time in the second period.
Brady Tkachuk became the ninth Panthers player with three goals in a period. He also had four points in the second as the brothers became the third and fourth Florida players with a four-point period.

Brady became the ninth player in NHL history to have a hat trick in which each goal was assisted by his brother, and the first since Daniel Sedin got help from his brother, Henrik, in 2015.
The Tkachuks teamed up for the first time in the 4 Nations Face Off in 2025, where each brother got into a fight within the first three seconds of their game against Canada. It was the first time international hockey had been played in a best-on-best format since the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Canada won that tournament with an overtime gold medal game, but the United States got the ultimate revenge in February, taking home its first gold medal since 1980.
