Wild animals aren't anything like your favorite Disney movie would have you think. They can be brutal if threatened.

Instagram user @benbabusis shared an absolutely insane video on Sunday (via his stepmother) of a hiker coming face-to-face with a massive bear that didn't seem happy to be bothered.

The incident occurred on the Mount Wilson Trail in Los Angeles, according to the video's caption, and fortunately nobody was hurt by the bear.

Of all the things that might make you need to quickly change your underwear, a bear of that size charging you is definitely near the top guaranteed ways to make that happen.
Not sure ringing bells is going to do much to stop a person from getting mauled. A firearm would probably be a better deterrent, but different strokes for different folks.
