George M. Steinbrenner III, known for his brash take-no-prisoners style as principal owner of the New York Yankees, died Tuesday at the age of 80. Known as "The Boss," Steinbrenner's Yankee legacy includes seven World Series championships -- plus lavish spending on free agents, two suspensions over legal and ethical violations, and his public berating of players and managers -- in particular, manager Billy Martin and slugger Reggie Jackson.
