The proactive and progressive nature of President Obama's plan should give Senator McCain a bit of pause, for it was he, let's recall, who placed squarely within the center of the national spotlight his belief that the recovery of economy would not be possible without the immediate stabilization of the housing market. How much can we bet that the disloyal (some might say unpatriotic) GOP opposition -- the regressive Party of No -- will now attack this plan not only at the margins but inside of the seams as well?
