I find it fascinating and at the same time sad that politics is so controlled by the almighty dollar. Long gone are the days of someone wanting to enter the political fray just because.

For sure to run for president, you need serious bucks.  That's why the semi-endorsement by the ultra powerful and rich Koch brothers network of donors is so important. They single handedly could help determine who the Republican nominee will be.

What's fascinating is that the Koch brothers are seemingly making their front runner picks much earlier this time around. In fact this would mark the first time that they've might pledge money on a presidential primary.  Influential? You bet.

My only caution would be that since we're so early in the process ... Do they really know who might be the best candidates?
