As the national debate continues on the NSA and what kind of surveillance the agency is really doing ... it's interesting to note that in the tech dominant world we live in now .. there are other private companies doing the same or much more with your personal information.
Companies like UBER have personal information on riders, and the rider's movements. The company knows where you came from -- where you're going -- and how you paid.
Google and Facebook are looking at the tiniest minutiae of your online activity -- and its being collected every day for their use.
Data Mining companies are scooping up huge amounts of consumer information and selling it -- private info about whether you're pregnant or divorced, trying to lose weight, how much money you have and what kinds of cars you drive. These companies know a lot.
So where's the consumer outcry here? And could these private companies actually know more about you than even the NSA?
