FNM Exclusive: Gabrielle Reece of 'Strong' Says THIS Is Why it's Hard to Lose Those Last Few Pounds

Gabrielle Reece's new series "Strong" aims to find out what women can accomplish when they face their biggest competitors: themselves.

"All of them have one thing in common: They're saying, 'Hey, I want to be my best self,'" explains Reece of the show's contestants. "They've maybe been working or raising a family, or a combination of all. And they've looked up, and 10 or 15 years have gone by, and they've said, 'I've gotten away from myself.'"

To get them back on the right track, Reece and a team of professional trainers are challenging these "trainees" to a series of challenges designed to test their bodies and their willpower — and making them "Strong" in the process.

Accordingly, Reece also believes that the biggest obstacle on the path to a person's weight-loss goal is — again — the person. And that's especially true when it comes to those last few pesky pounds.

Her solution? Stop being so critical. "I think when we judge/hold onto/define ourselves by [saying], 'If I could just lose these last X pounds,' I think that actually works against us," explains the volleyball star. "We're close to where we should be, and now we just have to do something a little extra to get there."
