The owner of a bar in Spain has come under fire for a job advertisement for a new bartender that was very up-front about highly specific requirements.

The ad reads, "I am seeking a young girl to be a waitress in a small bar – I ask that she have a nice appearance and is attention-grabbing ... big breasts necessary."

The ad garnered a lot of attention in a country that is suffering from high rates of unemployment, especially among its youth.

"This is insulting to women, to bar staff, to customers, to older people and to just about everyone in fact," 24-year old Cibeles Quezada Baez told the Mirror."I have been working in bars for around five years and am very good at what I do. I don’t need big breasts to do my job well or to be pleasant with customers."

Quezada Baez questioned why the bar’s owner is so desperate for customers that they think a big breasted woman is the only way to attract thirsty patrons.

Another angry woman, former model Catrin Sanches Calderón noted that despite her good looks, her less-than ample chest would prevent her from getting the gig slinging drinks.

"Well, I have a great personality and stunning looks, but I don't have big breasts so I clearly won’t get the job," she said.

While the bar owner in the northern Asturias region of Spain has kept quiet, a spokesperson for the restaurant tried to downplay the scandal and said that this is just what its customers wanted.

"We did a survey asking what the customers wanted from different aspects of the bar, not only the staff, and they came back with a list of things that we are now trying to implement. And this is one of them," the spokesman told local media. "We’re not trying to be sexist, we just believe that in the hospitality industry the customer is always right."
