Toddler leaves hospital after 850-day stay

A 2-year-old little girl finally went home after spending 850 days in the hospital – her entire life, KHOU reported.

Adalynn Willett was born with her intestines and liver outside of her body, and she’s undergone 28 surgeries, so she has never left Cook Children’s Medical Center in Texas.

Her parents “didn’t think this day would ever come,” according to Adalynn’s mother, Serafina Sevallos.

Her heart stopped twice during those 850 days, but Adalynn kept fighting.

“I always hoped for it, but I never thought this day would come,” said Adalynn’s father, Bryan Willett.
