A website called Baby Doctor promises to send a licensed pediatrician to your home within an hour

A new website called ‘Baby Doctor’ is bringing back the house call for sick kids in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. The site allows parents to request a certified licensed pediatrician to come directly to their home within an hour to treat urgent care needs like a fever, a stomach ache or an ear infection. The service is for newborns to 18-year-olds.

Parents log on to BabyDoctor.com, enter their zip code and follow the steps to request a house call. The hours of operation are 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays. The service is closed Friday and Saturday. When the office is closed, users can call 1-800-315-BABY and leave a voicemail, and someone will try to return your call with a house call referral.

First-time users must pay a fee of $40, and each additional visit costs $200.
