Surgeons remove golf ball-sized tumor from girl's face
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A 7-year-old girl is smiling again after surgeons removed a large tumor on her face, The Mirror reported.
Lottie Hankins was only days-old when her parents noticed a “smudge” on her face – but it turned into a tumor the size of a golf ball.
Lottie, who lives in Northampton, U.K., told the newspaper she has endured years of pain and insults.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}“Now, she has normal lips like me, which is what she wanted,” Lottie’s mother, Julia, said.
Doctors had diagnosed the tumor as 36 hemangiomas, which are blood vessels that combine into a benign tumor.
