A man who disappeared from a Brooklyn hospital on Wednesday has been found at his home in Fort Pierce, Fla., the New York Times reported.

Celso Heredia has had interesting past few weeks.  In mid-June, police found 81-year-old Heredia wandering along the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway – and he had no knowledge of where or who he was.  He had papers that revealed he was from Fort Pierce, but people at his address did not seem to know who he was either.

Police then took Heredia to Long Island College Hospital, where he has been staying for the past month up until his mysterious disappearance.  It remains unclear exactly how Heredia vanished from the hospital on Wednesday.

Fortunately, Fort Pierce police found him at home on Saturday night – healthy and aware of where he was located, the New York Times reported.  A woman that appeared to be living with him was there, and the police said nothing seemed “amiss.”

“He’s fine; we didn’t find anything wrong with him,” Sgt. David Cuti, a spokesman for the Fort Pierce police, told the New York Times. “It was no big deal. We were done with it in two minutes.”
