Burger lovers lucky enough to attend the Eat Pink event at the Dubai Mall on March 14 certainly weren't disappointed with the culinary creations.
Known for its over-the-top dining and nightlife, Dubai is now also the home of a record-breaking burger that sold for $10,000.
Dubbed "the world’s most expensive burger" the "Seven Emirates Burgerstack" was made with aged cheddar, veal bacon, a saffron brioche burger bun with seven spices and burger sauce served alongside a milkshake, according to the India Times.
The over the top burger was created by the Pink Caravan ambassador Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani.
But all that cash didn't just go to the chef. The burger was auctioned off to raise money for a breast cancer charity even in Dubai Mall’s Galeries Lafayette during the Pink Caravan’s Pink Bite.

“I have been an ambassador of Pink Caravan since the very beginning, and I am extremely honoured to be here today,” Shaikh Al Thani told Timeout Dubai. “Two years ago, we broke the world record by selling one burger for $7,000, and this year we wanted to top that. Of course, all proceeds will go to breast cancer awareness and free detection at an earlier stage."
Seven of Dubai’s top chefs including, Mohamed Orfali from Fatafeat, Rief Othman of PLAY, named Restaurant of the Year at the Time Out Dubai Restaurant awards, as well as Colin Clauge from RUYA faced off at the event to surpass funds raised during the previous year.
Asma Al Fahim, founder of a Dubai lifestyle magazine Villa 88, called in the winning bid.
Though the Seven Emirates Burgerstack was undoubtedly expensive, since it's not a permanent menu item, it hasn't nabbed Guinness' official world title. That honor belongs to Serendipity 3's Le Burger Extravagant, which is available year-round for $295 at the New York City eatery.
