Prohibition Hot Toddy

This cold weather hot toddy was created by bartender Kenneth McCoy from NYC’s Ward III. The combination of delicate flavors from lemon, ginger and cinnamon with Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition is the perfect warm drink to cozy up with after a deliciously filling meal.

Ingredients:
2 oz Cutty Prohibition Scotch Whisky
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz Honey water syrup
Splash of fresh pressed ginger juice (You can also muddle fresh ginger in the glass)
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Hot water from a kettle
Preparation:
Combine everything into a mixing vessel, stir with a bar spoon. Pour hot water into the glass to warm it. When ready to pour contents into glass, pour out the hot water, strain in your cocktail, then top with about 4 oz of hot water. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a flamed orange peel.
