Anyone in the market for some wings-- a lot of them?
The Wall Street Journal reports that McDonald's is trying to offload 10 million pounds of Mighty Wings, fast.
Why? Seems the wings were pretty much a flop with consumers and not the amazing food innovation the fast food company had hoped.

Approximately 20 percent of that inventory remains because the chain was unable to sell enough, according to a Journal source.
In late October, McDonald's chief executive Don Thompson admitted the wings weren't exactly a hit.
Thompson said on a conference call that the prices, which are similar to Buffalo Wild Wings, were “not the most competitive.” The reason? Thompson said the wings were too spicy for many customers' tastes.

Right now they're in frozen storage.
